There aren’t many people in the world that will turn down an African safari experience, and the safari business on this continent is big business. There are hundreds of locations to visit where all kinds of different African wildlife can be viewed and enjoyed, but for one of the best adventures, the Kruger National Park is the place to be.
This game reserve is one of the largest wildlife reserves in the world and enjoys its status as one of the most visited game reserves in the world as well. There are many reasons for this, including the amount of animals, the variety of animals to be seen in their natural habitat, and the vast range of indigenous reptiles, birds, insects, and plants. The rest camps in the Kruger Park are very well equipped and a range of different accommodation is available. There are also private concessions in the reserve which provide exclusive and luxurious game lodges where everything is five starred and top class.
For those who stay in one of the rest camps, game drives in the Kruger Park are usually self-drive. For others exploring the area around the reserve or lodging outside of the reserve, it is possible to do daily game drives in the Kruger Park with us. We depart early in the morning from Hoedspruit. Our vehicles are specially adapted to provide a comfortable ride and increase visibility, and all our game drives are conducted by qualified guides who have vast experience and knowledge of the Kruger Park, its surroundings, the natural spectacles, and all the fauna and flora. During a game drive, it helps to have someone to provide valuable knowledge and interesting facts about animals and their natural habitat, and our guides are also trained to spot hidden wildlife with a keen eye. Often, the rangers are in radio contact with each other to share the location of interesting finds, such as the Big 5 or perhaps even a kill.
During our game drives in the Kruger Park, we have regular rest breaks, and lunch can be at a scenic picnic spot or taken at one of the many restaurants in the rest camps. There are also convenience stores and curio shops where gifts and memorabilia can be purchased. Even though the game drive is a full day, it will pass in an instant and you will want to do it all over again the next day.
In addition to game drives in the Kruger Park, we also conduct other interesting excursions in the area, such as visits to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre and the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. For something completely different, you can also take a boat trip up the Blyde River and enjoy the beauty of the natural settings around the river. We also do daily shuttles from Hoedspruit to O. R. Tambo International Airport and back.
